Kismet

Tony Duquette was a costume designer for the 1955 film adaptation of “Kismet”, a musical adapted from a play in 1911 of the same name. The director of the film who hired Duquette to design the costumes also commissioned him to design interior and exterior sets. The panels of this mural are exact recreations of Tony’s mood sketches for those sets.

Depicting a bustling common area in Baghdad, the mural shows Tony’s original imaginings that would later become the Kismet’s picturesque settings. Each colorway of this captivating mural can bring intense atmosphere while remaining an embellishing background.
