Johannes Kip was a Dutch draftsman and engraver who followed King William and Queen Mary to England after the Glorious Revolution of 1688. During the reign of Queen Anne, he recorded birds’ eye views of 80 British estates with draftsman Leonard Knyff. Originally published as black and white engravings, Kip’s views have been reimagined in color as Queen Anne's Views and given a painterly interpretation.
