Floribunda is inspired by 18th-century English botanical illustrations in the Colonial Williamsburg collection. Freely re-imagined and freshly-colored flowers are framed with a meandering twig and leaf border and artfully arranged as a print display on an elegant moiré pattern. Floribunda is a modern update of the bedroom decorated with botanical prints that famed naturalist Carl Linnaeus kept in his home in Hammarby, Sweden. The Floribunda mural has a nine foot vertical repeat and is printed in three panels. The inaugural WILLIAMSBURG Mural Collection X Paul Montgomery re-envisions the rich design archive of Colonial Williamsburg the world's largest living history museum, within a modern sensibility. Sales of WILLIAMSBURG products support Colonial Williamsburg's missions of education, preservation, and engaged citizenship – That the future may learn from the past.
